Terms and Conditions

Last updated: May 12, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SDETLab website, related subdomains, content, newsletters, and online tools (collectively, the "Services"), operated by the SDETLab project ("SDETLab", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

These Terms are not legal advice. If you are entering into commitments on behalf of a company, ensure you have authority to bind that entity.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use features that require registration or payment. If you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized use via the Contact page.

2. Changes to the Services and these Terms

We may modify the Services or these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we post changes. Material changes may—where appropriate—be highlighted on the Site or communicated by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires explicit consent.

3. License to use content

Subject to these Terms and applicable law, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal or internal business learning purposes. Unless we expressly permit otherwise in writing:

  • You may not copy, scrape, or redistribute substantial portions of our content or datasets for commercial use;
  • You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link to the original where reasonable;
  • You may not remove proprietary notices, circumvent technical limits, or misrepresent affiliation with SDETLab.

4. User content and conduct

Where the Services allow you to submit content (for example comments, messages, or tool inputs), you retain ownership of your content but grant SDETLab a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (such as formatting for display), and distribute your content solely to operate and improve the Services, subject to our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to:

  • Violate law or third-party rights;
  • Upload malware, probe or attack our systems, or overload infrastructure;
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate;
  • Harvest data from users or the Site in bulk without permission;
  • Use the Services to build a directly competing re-host of our content without authorization;
  • Submit unlawful, highly sensitive personal data (for example full payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or health records) through tools not designed for that purpose.

We may remove content or suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules are violated or if required by law.

5. AI and experimental features

AI-assisted generators or assistants are provided for convenience. Outputs may be wrong or unsuitable. You must review and validate results before reliance. We may log or process prompts subject to our Privacy Policy. See also the Disclaimer.

6. Paid offerings

If you purchase subscriptions, credits, or other paid products, additional terms (including from payment processors such as Razorpay) may apply. Fees are stated at checkout or on the relevant page unless otherwise agreed in writing. Taxes may be added where required. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, payments are generally non-refundable once services are delivered or access is granted; dispute resolution may be offered as described at purchase.

7. Third-party services

The Services may integrate or link to third-party websites, APIs, SDKs, or tools. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party availability, security, or practices.

8. Intellectual property

SDETLab names, logos, and original content are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted. If you believe material on the Services infringes your rights, contact us with sufficient detail for us to evaluate the notice.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties—express, implied, or statutory—including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SDETLab and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to the Services, even if advised of the possibility. Our aggregate liability for claims arising from the Services in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Services giving rise to the claim in that period or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100), except where mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction prohibits such a cap.

11. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SDETLab from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms, applicable law, or third-party rights—except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require application of another jurisdiction's laws, except that if you are a consumer habitually resident in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction offering mandatory protections, those protections may still apply to you.

Subject to mandatory local rules, you agree that exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising from these Terms or the Services lies with the courts located in India, unless we elect another competent forum or mandatory arbitration applies. Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us through the Contact page.

13. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer where referenced, constitute the entire agreement regarding the Services described here.
  • Severability: If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains in effect.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or service transfer.
